HOW THE APPLICATION PROCESS WORKS
SUPPLYING DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE
What documentary evidence do I need to support my application?
Please supply photocopied evidence of your full name (including any changes to your name) and date of birth. This must be in the form of one of the following:
- birth certificate
- marriage certificate
- passport
- deed poll
- national ID card
- aliens registration certificate or statutory declaration
No other form of evidence can be accepted.
- You must supply acceptable evidence that you have achieved the qualifications listed on your application form. You must submit photocopies verified at a British Council office or ONLINE CAMPUS (India). In some countries the British Council are unable to provide this service. If this is the case you will need to submit the Degree or Diploma certified by the “Apostille” or alternatively, you should contact the appropriate awarding/examining authority and arrange for them to send a certified statement/transcript of your results directly to us.
- If we need further information about a particular qualification (e.g. a transcript and/or syllabus), we may ask you to contact the appropriate awarding or examining authority to ask them to write to us directly by giving further details of your qualification(s).
- You can send us your attested Photocopy of result slip(s) of any examinations for which the final certificate has yet to be issued. Result slips from previous years cannot be accepted.
- We should receive all documentary evidence forwarded after the application form has been submitted within one month of the date of our request. If you’re unable to meet this deadline please let us know without any delay.
- It’s your responsibility to arrange for all the necessary documentation to be obtained in support of your application. We cannot undertake to do this on your behalf.
- The University reserves the right to ask for further evidence of your qualification(s) if required.
- If the transcript/statement of results cannot be provided in English, then please provide us with both the original copy and a translation, duly stamped and signed by an official translator. It’s important that you submit both the original along with translation of the original.
